What Number Will Solange Debut At?

Right now shes at number 12,with a little over 50 percent of the sales counted which is great! Check back every so often to see where she lands!

I was just about to post it...I think she will debut in the top ten at least! She def. will be like #1 on the R&B charts....it's gonna be between her and Rihanna. Well at least we know she didn't sell 10,000...right now she is @ over 19,000.

I still wanted to see better numbers but only time will tell.

She's @ #12 with 19,385 units sold... Not bad considering her career sales & the failing economy...

I think this is pretty good , I wish the sales were better, but she is happy with the sales, she said that on the last video that the album is a success in her eyes...Albums do become big sellers over time...so for Solange. It may rise and sell more so let's not give up any hope! I know she has to be #1 on the R&B charts!!! Next are her GRAMMY NOMINATIONS!!!

hopefully, with the release of the t.o.n.y. video - if she makes one ... sales will go up!

If skills sold, she'd be number one honestly. Her album is just so original and unique...but since its based on politics and I guess people's preference in mainstream music, she didn't make top 10. 30,000 some records sold is still an accomplishment in today's industry though, so congrats to Solange. I did my part...I bought a copy from Best Buy and then a copy from Target so I could get the bonus vids, but I lost my code before I could even download the vids.

Wow...as much as im lovin Solo rite now..
i wasnt expecting her to sell that many. I jus look @ it like this...and i kno its been said 10,000 times but she isnt mainstream....so her sale numbers are just because alot of people dont know she is releasing music...

But i try to promote her as much as i can...all my bffs bought her cd and luv it.

I saw a blogger write about her this morning and wanted to share it because I truly feel the same...Solange's contribution to R&B is definitely a compliment. She has outdone herself in this historic tribute. Keep on supporting her, guys. I told my brothers and sisters and everyone who knows me, I gladly got mine from Target on the day of release and I know many fall birthdays approaching...guess what they're getting...

Hits Daily Double only get their numbers from a few sources. So they will not always have an accurate count on all sales. Billboard charts uses Nielsen SoundScan for their numbers. And of course SoundScan get their numbers from all retailers that uses their system.

NOTE: Not all retailers report their numbers to SoundScan. So when Billboard compile their charts they will only use the numbers from Nielsen SoundScan. They will not report sales numbers from retailers who don't use SoundScan.

Either way it goes, Solange has pulled in really great numbers! Her label is gonna support her anyway because i don't think they put any $$$ down to produce the album & they made two (not to sound rude) low budget & she's been promoting alot. I don't know where I'm going with this reply, but by the look of things, were gonna be seeing a T.O.N.Y. video in the near future!!!

There are no radio add dates for "Sandcastle Disco." So perhaps Geffen will skip that song and go with "T.O.N.Y." for radio adds instead.

That would be a great Idea!

I think Sandcastle Disco could do well in in the Pop Market etc. I never underestimated singles, cause when Amy Winehouse for example came out with Rehab, I LOVED the song, but in my mind I was like...Will radio play this?? And they did! I never underestimate singles cause you never know. They should put it for adds and see how it goes
