I went to the 8/31 Walmart Signing and Performance!!!! PIXS

Hey Guys,

After seeing Solange I wrote up a long report but it didnt post casue I wasn't signed in. I was for pissed. I will give you guys full coverage in a min with pictures.

Ok Lets go at it again.....lol

I arrived to the show about 10 mins before it started. I really wasn't going to make it. I had a hectic time at work and left 30 mins later then I was suppose to.

I rushed home to take a shower, had to find something to wear, left the posters I wanted her to sign for your guys at work, left two of the cds of the 5 I bought and just was going hella crazy.


So before the event started the band was warming up and playing some tunes and introduces them selves. Then Mathew Knolwes took to the stage to introdces his daughter.

But first he took a moment to remember Solange's Best friend who died a couple years back. Bascially he told everyone to look at the right and when you look you seen a Rainbow.

He stated that Solange had a rainbow on the cover of her album in rememberence of that friend. He then said That friend was watching over us right now. (It was a sweet moment everyone awwed."

So then SOLANGE KNOWLES taks the stage, In a nice white dress , leopard strapped heels and gold and lime green Jewerly looking great.

She was glad to be back home. So started off with "Sand Castle" and killed it. I knew every word and was singing along. You could tell that many folks were not familar with the song.

So guess who was standing next to me while I was singing????............ Mrs. Tina Knowles who I have had the pleasure to meet before.

She was singing and rooting for her daughter. With a hugh smile on her face. I spoke with her and asked her "You must be really proud of your daughter" and she said "Yes".

She then was talking with her gilrfriends telling them that Mathew thought they were going to cancel due to the weather. (She was right behind me ...we were that close...I was all in the mix. lol)

So after that song she went straight to "T.O.N.Y" which is a crowd pleaser. She sanged the song and sounded great but you can tell that the weather was starting to change.

Drip, drop,,,,,,,Drip Drop....... Its starts raining and some people started to panic. I didn't mind the rain and Tina didn't as well. We started to jam more.

But then the rain started to pour down very hard and the Music and Sound stopped!


Solange then stated "I think we need to stop the show casue I dont want anyone to get electriqued. and I also know some of you girls dont want to get your hair wet." lol I busted out laughing

Tina was upset and said "AWWWWWWWWWWWWW"Just like I did.

So the next thing I knew everyone started running so fast to get inside of Walmart to start the signing.

I didn't run at all. But guess what? I was last in line when I got inside but then the line grow some more behind me so I was ok.

I waited in line for about 25-30 mins so it wasn't that bad. I interacted with some of the other fans and kids.

The only thing I didn't like was people that were in line were turned away if they didn't have a CD for her to sign. Mostly these people were kids. And I had Three CDS.

So when I walked up to Solange I had a huge smile and was like"HI SOLANGE " an she replied Hi back.

I let her know that I won her contest. At first you could tell that she didn't know what I was talking about until she said the Profile contest and I was like Yes.

She then stated that she would have to go Look at it! I was so crushed to find out she didn't pick my Page. lol That just let me know that she didn't really have control of her page and doesnt do all the posting. Which I can understand in part.

But when I won that contest..I wasn't happy about the MP3 Player. I was just the point she picked my page.......BUT SHE DIDN'T!

So I then told her about how I was apart of Solange-k.net as a Admin and she was said "OH REALLY...How is that working out?" I was said "Good, Gerorge and a few folks are getting ready to re launch the site tomorrow September 1st so you should check it out and she said she would.

I then started to talk about how I use to have an internship with Music World and she then said "I knew you looked kinda familar." and then I told her she might know me from the HOUSTON club scene as well.

I shook her hand for the second time and I was out. It happen so fast and you could tell they just wanted to get everyones autograph signed an get the freak out.

As I was was leaving I saw Tina and IB3 and said Hi. They were all huddled up chatting.


****I spoke with people who had video cameras and they will be posting on Youtube. I just dont know when. I aslo seen the guy who does her random Kyte videos as well. He recorded videos of the crowd...Also Walmart Sound Check team was there filming,******

Also Mathew said that Solange will be in the TOP 5 in the Billboard 200 and #1 on the R&B Charts. i guess we will see. I just want to know what report he has. lol

Wow, debuting in the Billboard Top 5 would be beautiful. She's on her way. As far as what source Big Daddy is getting this info from, somehow the industry always seems to have the numbers before they're published. I suppose folks have inside contacts within the magazine.

You watch, she's going to go to number 1. I'm predicting five weeks at the top!

your right, i think she doesnt post anything on her page but makes the videos and they upload it.
terrence i told you everything would go fast, and they prob. wouldnt sign nothing but the cds.
hopefully next time things will go better.
you shoulda have waited for her to exit, when they exit u get more time with em.

I should have remember when on one of her questionsa guy asked could he be on her Top Friends and she said she would tell Tyrell to do it lol That was a Red Light there.

lolx what did she perform? and damn it rained =x i woulda rain too- my hair woulda been a mess haha

She only performed Sand Castle and then part of T.O.N.Y and it started to rain.
